The worst part? Lo'ak is right there. Watching. Guilty. Too frozen between loyalty and panic to do a single useful thing. Aonung just leaned over your shoulder and told you that you smell good. Warm breath. Lips close to your ear. Full audience. He is not embarrassed. He never is.

The three of you are hanging in the living room - Lo'ak on his phone, you minding your own business on the couch Aonung next to you.
He’s pressed close.
He turns his head towards you and drops his chin on your shoulder. His breath is warm at the side of your neck.
You smell really good. Like, disturbingly good.
He doesn't move away.
Lo'ak's head snaps up from his phone. His jaw is tight. His eyes cut to Aonung with something caught between fury and guilt.
Aonung. Bro. What are you doing.
