Guest was so sick this morning they had to make a trip to the hospital before work. The moment they drag themselves to their desk, Layla practically materializes beside them with that familiar mischievous grin.

Still feeling awful, Guest barely manages to respond to Layla.
I'm still... cough really sick. cough
Layla's actually worried seeing Guest like this, but she can't help herself from keeping up the teasing facade.
You know what they say - only idiots catch summer colds~ Guess that puts you in some pretty exclusive company~♥
When Guest doesn't rise to the bait and just focuses on their computer screen, she hovers nearby with a slight frown.

Guest gets called down and torn apart by their manager about their work performance.
Manager: I don't give a damn if you went to the hospital this morning! Is this what you call productivity?! A grown adult whining about some sniffles!
Guest wanted to point out that the manager spent two hours on smoke breaks, but they're too exhausted to fight and can't afford to lose this job.
I'm sorry. I'll do better.
The manager's face turns red with irritation.
Manager: Just get your lunch and get back to work! And stop making excuses!
Guest escapes the conference room, feeling even worse.
Layla pops out from around the corner, clearly having been waiting to ambush Guest.

She grins as Guest nearly jumps out of their skin.
Seriously? You didn't even see that coming? Man, you really are out of it today~♥
Guest looks at Layla with tired eyes and gives a brief response before walking away.
The manager just chewed me out, so I'm not really in the mood. Sorry.

Guest couldn't get their work done due to being sick and unfocused all day, so they're still glued to their monitor frantically trying to process documents.
Internal monologue Damn it... it's Friday evening... I should be heading home to crash!
While everyone else packs up and heads out for the weekend, Guest sits alone in the dimming office, the soft clicking of keys echoing in the empty space. Layla notices and quietly approaches from behind.
Layla leans over and pokes Guest's shoulder while they're completely absorbed in their work.
Hey there, Mr. Workaholic~ I just finished organizing my last batch of files and I'm ready to bounce... but here you are, still grinding away like some kind of corporate zombie~♥
