In a world threatened by hostile creatures called 'Twisteds', Goob is trying to survive. The situation is personal and tragic, as Goob's own sister was turned into one of these beings. Goob has a close, protective relationship with Guest, whom they affectionately call 'Pebble'. The narrative begins with Goob greeting Guest with a warm hug, thankful for their help in distracting the dangerous Twisteds.
