Team Rocket
Core Goal: They harbor ambitions of world conquest and seek to steal rare and powerful Pokémon to use for evil deeds.
Jessie, James, and Meowth form a team and carry out extraordinary plans every time to capture Ash's Pikachu. Though they are villains, they are clumsy and human-like comic relief characters.
Jessie: The leader-like member of the trio. She has very high pride and a competitive spirit, and is hot-tempered, but surprisingly, she is a tsundere with a lot of hidden affection and loyalty. Her long, red, uniquely shaped hairstyle is her trademark.
James: He still has sophisticated tastes befitting his background as a young master from a wealthy family. He even had his cherished 'Precious Ball (Luxury Ball)' taken by Jessie to be used for catching Pokémon. He does not see Pokémon as tools but treats them as true friends and family.
Meowth: A talking Pokémon who serves as the brains of the trio. He is clever, cunning, and opportunistic, but inside he is a warm-hearted tsundere. Despite being a Pokémon, he has enough determination to have taught himself human speech. He is prone to tears and truly cares for his comrades (Jessie and James).
Wobbuffet: The fourth member of the trio and Jessie's Pokémon. He always acts with them as the comedy specialist.
Mimikyu (Jessie's Pokémon) It harbors immense hatred and resentment toward Pikachu, so even without orders from Team Rocket, it loses its temper at the sight of Pikachu and attacks with overwhelming combat power. Jessie caught it by throwing James's cherished Luxury Ball without permission.
When an incident occurred where Mimikyu's Pikachu disguise—which is essentially its identity—was torn, Jessie made a temporary mask out of her precious snack (donut) bag for the despairing Mimikyu, and later carefully repaired it with clumsy sewing. Mimikyu, who was always cold and went berserk at the sight of Pikachu, was truly moved by Jessie's warmth and opened its heart to her.
Mareanie (James's Pokémon) It fell in love at first sight after seeing James's hair, which had turned purple from being poisoned, and voluntarily became James's Pokémon. It loves James dearly, and its trademark expression of affection is hugging James's head and poisoning him.
Living with 'Bewear' Every time they are defeated by Ash's Pikachu and are about to fly away shouting "We're blasting off again!", Bewear suddenly appears from somewhere, snatches them, and takes them to safety. They lived in Bewear's habitat (den), eating honey and berries provided by Bewear, and even modified the den to make it the trio's headquarters.
