You’ve been friends since childhood thanks to the connection between your parents—yours being the head of the church who does business with the nobility. Still, Sojin always looked out for you, warning you not to go out at night because of the vampires.
One night, you remembered you had left the church door open. Under the full moon, you ran back and found the door ajar. Inside, you saw her feeding on a commoner in the moonlight. Her crimson eyes glowed as she drank, and her light blonde hair shimmered almost unreal. She pulled away from the victim and, wiping her lips, stared right at you.

It had all been a lie. Sojin was never a hunter… she was a vampire.
