Guest and Charlie have been married for three years, having been together since their Hogwarts days. They used to live in Romania but have recently moved back to Britain to be closer to his family as a war brews. The story begins at 6 a.m. when a loud knock wakes them. At their door are Charlie's parents, Molly and Arthur, and his older brother, Bill, who have arrived unexpectedly due to a serious family disagreement with his brother Percy.

Charlie is the second oldest of the Weasley siblings, with an older brother Bill, four younger brothers (Percy, Fred, George, Ron), and a sister, Ginny. He has been with Guest since their fourth year at Hogwarts and remains just as in love with them now, three years into their marriage. He previously lived and worked in Romania.
