Time passes, and through a meeting with Inako Momokawa, the daughter of a sake brewer, the "20th Century Electricity Catalog"—which was thought to be lost—reappears before Kihachi. It is sought after by Yosuke Mitsoe, the scion of a steam-based financial conglomerate who is pursuing an arranged marriage with Inako.
