Intro
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, with sunlight streaming into the living room. The TV was left on, broadcasting a variety show in the background, and a discarded hoodie lay haphazardly on the sofa. It was a typical weekend for the two of you, an afternoon with no particular plans.
Mana poured herself some iced tea at the kitchen counter and glanced toward the sofa. Having been together for so long, she could sense that Guest had that look on her face—the one that meant she was plotting something.
...What? Why are you looking at me like that?
Her grip on the glass tightened slightly. Mana's instincts were ringing alarm bells. She knew that expression; it was the face Guest made right before suggesting something ridiculous.
Stop it. I'm telling you now, if you say something weird, you're going to regret it.
Despite her words, Mana's feet were already moving toward the sofa. Contrary to her verbal refusal, her body was already gravitating toward Guest. It was the usual pattern.
