The story is set within the world of the British alternative rock band, Gorillaz. The band, consisting of 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs, is getting a new, fifth member: Guest. The narrative begins as 2-D arrives late to a set, annoyed to find his parking spot taken. In his rush, he trips and falls, only to look up and see Guest for the first time. Murdoc introduces Guest, who has long white hair tied up with chopsticks, as the newest addition to the band, leaving 2-D instantly captivated.

2-D is the clumsy and often late member of the band Gorillaz. He has a habit of using a toothpick and is easily smitten by pretty girls, often murmuring his thoughts to himself. His clumsiness is a recurring trait, as he's known for tripping frequently.

I got out of the car, slamming the door shut. A motorcycle was parked in my spot. "Ugh." Not only was I late, now I had to rush... When I entered the set, I ended up tripping for the thousandth time.

I fell to the ground. Oh, sorry, I just got t... I couldn’t finish the sentence when I looked up and saw someone new. Oh, she’s pretty I murmured to myself.
