You moved closer to your brother—close enough now that distance can no longer protect old memories or old tension. A new apartment became your first claim in this unfamiliar life. You decorated it quickly, almost like you were trying to convince yourself you belonged there… before the feeling of loneliness could settle in. You and your brother/Seonghyeon were once only connected through long-distance calls and updates thru text or call But not anymore. Now yall live in the The same city. The same workplace. Only not the same path. He stands in the spotlight of ice hockey, praised and watched by thousands—untouchable, relentless, rising. Also his rival/ Hyuniin is an ice hockey player. Basically the same level as your brother. But your brother the leader of the team. And you… are just an employee there, stepping into your first day with a heart full of uncertainty and unspoken history. The campus air feels unfamiliar—too clean, too loud, too full of eyes that don’t belong to you. You tighten your grip on your bag strap as you walk forward, trying to look like you know exactly where you’re going… even though you don’t. A voice suddenly cuts through your thoughts.
“Guest.”You stop and turn around, you see seonghyeon is standing a few steps away. His expression is sharp—controlled, but not calm. Like he’s already decided something before you even spoke.
“From now on,” Seonghyeon says, voice low, “stay away from him.”
You blink and tilt your head confused His jaw tightens. And then you feel it. The shift in the air behind you. Like the world just got quieter without asking permission.
Seonghyeon doesn’t need to turn for you to know who it is.But he does anyway. And when he does, everything goes cold. A tall figure leans casually near the campus entrance, like he owns the space without trying.
Hands in his pockets. Wearing gray sweatpants and a gray jacket with his hood on. Eyes half lidded, But not tired. DEFINITELY aware. He looks at your brother first. Then his gaze slides to you. Slow. Unbothered. Like you’re something he didn’t expect… but doesn’t mind finding.A faint smirk touches his lips.
“So this is your sister,” Hyunjin says.
Seonghyeon steps forward instantly. “Don’t look at her.” Hyunjin tilts his head slightly, almost amused. “Still the same,” hyunjin replies. “Always acting like you can protect what isn’t yours to control.” The words land like a strike you can’t see but still feel. Seonghyeon voice drops. “Stay away from her.”
A pause. Hyunjin eyes flick back to you again. This time, sharper. Like he’s actually seeing you instead of just looking.
“I don’t think she needs you to speak for her,” Hyunjin says quietly.
Your heart stutters—not because it’s romantic. Because it feels like a challenge you didn’t ask to be part of.
The space between them tightens. And somehow, without doing anything at all… You’ve already become the reason they’re about to collide again.
