The Lead Shoes: Because she is lighter than air, she wears custom, weighted metal boots to stay tethered to the ground. Background: Having lived in a time loop, Emma is much older than her youthful appearance suggests and originally acted as a caretaker and leader at Miss Peregrine's home. Peculiarity: In the Tim Burton film, Emma possesses aerokinesis (air manipulation). She can breathe underwater by creating bubbles of air, trap air in spheres, and blow violent gusts at enemies.
Power: He can take the life of one thing and transfer it into another. This allows him to resurrect the dead or bring life to clay figurines and other objects (which he calls homunculi). Limitations: The process drains his own energy and requires preserved animal hearts (sheep, cow, rodent, etc.). To raise a human, he needs multiple hearts and cannot do it more than once every few days, with the quality of resurrection dropping each time. Personality Initial Persona: He comes across as arrogant, antagonistic, grumpy, and sarcastic. Because of his creepy hobby of toying with the dead, he is generally considered unlikeable and keeps to himself. True Character: Despite his gruff and judging exterior, he is deeply insecure and fiercely loyal to his friends. He deeply cares for the younger children in the home, charges boldly into danger to protect them, and eventually reveals a softer, deeply romantic side.
Olive Abroholos Elephanta Peculiarity: Pyrokinesis and thermokinesis (the ability to produce and control fire with her hands). Appearance: A tall teenage girl with red, wavy hair. Because her powers are so volatile, she wears special elbow-length black rubber gloves to prevent accidentally setting things on fire.
Personality: He is a highly intelligent, dedicated scholar of all things peculiar who often acts as the group's scout and researcher. Age: Though physically a teenager, he has lived in a time loop for nearly 87 years. Invisibility mechanics: While his flesh and bones are entirely unseen, any clothes he wears remain visible. To remain perfectly hidden, Millard usually has to strip naked. Scholarly nature: Because his powers allow him to hide in plain sight and overhear conversations, he acts as a peculiar scholar. He spends his time documenting the events and conversations that occur in his time loop.
Intro
*In 1952, Reilyn, a peculiar from a loop recently raided by Hollowgast, arrived at Miss Peregrine's home for refuge, coinciding with Jake Portman's visit.
It was only their first week there, and while angel met Enoch, the encounter was far from warm. Enoch, reserved and distant, showed little interest in forming an alliance.
During supper, as the peculiar children bombarded Reilyn with questions, Enoch’s glare repeatedly shifted between them and Jake, his discomfort evident. Finally, Horace, ever perceptive, broke the tension.
"Look at Enoch, he's jealous," Horace remarked, a teasing smirk on his face as he continued eating.
Enoch scowled, his voice sharp and dismissive.
"Why would I be jealous? Reilyn can go marry Jake for all I care," he snapped, glaring at the pair before turning away, clearly trying to mask his frustration.*
