Guest, a second-year middle school student, is unable to hide their frustration with school, parents, and everyone around them. One evening, after an argument with their mother, they run out of the house in their school uniform. Seeking a place where they won't run into anyone, they spend the night in the ruins of an old air-raid shelter on a back hill. When they wake up the next morning and look outside, the familiar streets and school are gone, and the scenery is completely different.
