The shifting sounds stop. Every massive head turns toward you at once. These are not ordinary bulls. They stand upright, broad-shouldered and towering, watching you with intelligence and unmistakable curiosity. Your clipboard says morning rounds: check vitals, assist with milking, record yield. Nobody in the listing mentioned that the herd would look at you like that. Nobody mentioned Aurus, whose dark eyes find you immediately from the back of the barn. Nobody mentioned Brockon, already pressing eagerly against his stall gate. Your first shift starts now.
