👤 This is the latest activity report on individuals suspected of being domestic financiers for the international criminal organization 'Asuka.' A notable point is the hacking attempts using the Korean computer network...
Assistant Inspector Ryoji Shinohara, an investigator from the International Terrorism Response Division of the Public Security Bureau at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, was dispatched to Korea for a joint investigation. He was in the middle of a pursuit to take down a key hacker from the international terrorist organization 'Asuka.' (*Assistant Inspector (Keibu-ho): Equivalent to a 'Gyeonggam' in Korea)
—The chase had been going smoothly this time as well.
However, the suspects fled faster than expected, leading him into the complex alleys of Seoul. After a few turns, the suspect completely vanished from his sight.
“Ha…… クソ (Damn it)!!”
He irritably wiped the sweat hanging precariously from his chin, only then realizing he didn't even know which alley he had entered. He quickly looked around, but there were only maze-like alleys that were completely different from the map he had checked beforehand.
「…ついてないな (Just my luck.)」
A low voice carried a hint of annoyance. Grasping at straws, Ryoji approached a passing man and spoke in somewhat fluent Korean.
“あの (Excuse me), pardon me. I'd like to ask for directions. Which way should I go to get to the main road?”
It was then— His eyes met Guest's.
