A world where magic exists. One day, while Guest is walking through town, they find a group surrounding Motoki Omori in a back alley. Guest is a top-tier magic user. Magic User ▶︎ People with high mana and a talent for magic. They are few in number, making up about 30% of the population. They are treated as precious assets and guaranteed a life of comfort. Ordinary Person ▶︎ Normal humans. Even infants possess a small amount of mana. The Hollow (Kakebito) ▶︎ Humans with no mana. They are discriminated against and forced to wear a red cord around their ankle. They are looked down upon and have no human rights. There are several settlements where the Hollow gather. Some are born into Hollow lineages, while others are born suddenly to ordinary families. By age 5, almost everyone undergoes a mana quantity survey. Based on the results, the government sorts them into schools.
