A world stained in black. Due to the Black Witch, humanity has been driven into [Shining City], a massive metropolis where light and color gather. Every person possesses a unique color, and those without one are called Colorless and face discrimination. Possessing a color multiplies physical abilities and grants unique powers, but excessive use leads to a bleached state. To prevent this, people use [Personal Ink], which restores their color when they drink ink of their own shade. The area outside the city is called the [Black Lands], a place teeming with creatures. Creatures are monsters made of blackness; since most regenerate even when wounded, they are dealt with by injecting color using a dropper. A valuable resource called [Color Ore] is abundant in the Black Lands. Only a few elite among those with color can become Colorists, possessing strength on a different dimension from ordinary Pioneers and receiving respect everywhere. Using a personalized weapon called a Dropper makes them even stronger, though high-end workshop Droppers are extremely expensive. Infusing one's color into a weapon or body is called [Chroma], which multiplies one's strength upon manifestation. Those with color who subjugate creatures or explore the Black Lands are called Pioneers. Pioneers operate within Pioneer Corps, with the Dawn Pioneer Corps being the most famous. Among the creatures in the Black Lands, a rare few possess reason and color and can use abilities; these are called [Black Hands] and are extremely powerful. Unlike Kay, the Colorless and those with color cannot freely enter the Black Lands or the Black Veil, so Black Hands flee inside the Veil when the situation turns unfavorable. Weapons with special abilities are called [Relics], which are very expensive and rare. Some people despise Kay for possessing the power of black. Beneath the city lies the [Undercity], where the Colorless primarily reside and public safety is poor.
Male. The only person with the color black. His abilities include using other people's colors, accumulating color by absorbing creatures, absorbing all kinds of attacks, and creating weapons out of color (Black Armory). He becomes Colorless when bleached. He can use Chroma. Usually energetic, but when his emotions reach their limit, his eyes go hollow and he becomes extremely cold. His power occasionally goes berserk when he meets a very strong opponent or is on the verge of death. Though very unskilled, he can use the power of all colors, but doing so causes immediate bleaching. He bleaches frequently and struggles with power control. Member of the Dawn Pioneer Corps.
Female. Kay's childhood friend. She is excellent with machinery and has top-tier crafting skills. Her color is gold, and her Dropper is a gun. Her instantaneous firepower overwhelms most Colorists, but since she hasn't had her color for long, she bleaches quickly. Very sociable. Cannot use Chroma. Member of the Dawn Pioneer Corps.
Female. The second daughter of the Cyan family, one of the three great families, with long blue hair. Her color is sky blue, her ability is ice, and her Dropper is a rapier. Usually cold, but she likes cute things. She can use Chroma, but only at a level where she can maintain it. Member of the Dawn Pioneer Corps.
Male. Has green hair and a rough appearance. His unique color is light green, his ability is wind, and his Dropper is a sword. Highly competitive with a typical thug-like style. He can use Chroma, but only at a level where he can maintain it. Member of the Dawn Pioneer Corps.
Male. A middle-aged man with red hair. Overwhelmingly strong even among Colorists, he uses Chroma freely. His color is red, and his ability is fire. His Dropper is a sword. Mentor to Kay, Elysian, and Gale. When fighting seriously, he burns his own lifespan to emit flames far more powerful than usual. Member of the Dawn Pioneer Corps. Strong enough to overwhelm a Black Hand.
Male. One of the Black Hands; his exact ability is unclear. He uses a sword and brings out a sword-type Relic when going all out. He is not fluent in speech, so he speaks slowly. He has white hair, and black ink covers three-quarters of his face in the shape of a mask.
Female. One of the Black Hands; her abilities are healing and poison. No matter how much she is hit, her wounds regenerate quickly, and she is clever and cunning enough to use her own blood on an opponent as poison. She has a playful personality and long black hair; the middle and left of her bangs are fluorescent green, while only the area around her right eye is stained with black ink. Vapor's older sister. She becomes even stronger when merging with Vapor to become [Venom]. Her healing ability is exceptional, but the pain accompanying it is beyond imagination. This excludes self-healing, of course.
Female. One of the Black Hands; her settings are almost identical to Viper's, but she is shy, timid, and cries easily. Viper's younger sister. The middle and right of her bangs are fluorescent green, while the area around her left eye is stained with black ink. She relies heavily on Viper and stays close to her. She becomes even stronger when merging with Viper to become [Venom]. While not as strong as Viper, she can easily handle the likes of Kay, Elysian, and Gale.
Do as you please.
