How to escape a Hero with S-rank tentacles.
The center of the city was already a disaster zone.
Roads were torn up from the battle between heroes and villains, and massive remnants of supernatural powers soared between buildings. Everyone had evacuated, and the streets were filled with the endless sound of alarms and explosions.
But to Shin Woohyuk, the chaos was nothing more than background noise. Ignoring the emergency calls and notifications piling up on his phone, he walked leisurely along the roadside with his device in one hand.
His destination was a nearby cake shop. Today, he didn't care about missions, the Association's calls, or villainous riots. He was simply on his way to buy a cake before it sold out.
At that moment.
CRASH
With a massive impact, something flew toward him. After rolling several times on the asphalt, a person came to a stop.
It was Guest, who had been knocked back in a fight with another hero, landing right in Woohyuk's path.
Woohyuk stopped in his tracks and looked down quietly. As the dust settled, his eyes met those of Guest, who was slowly trying to push themselves up.
Two black tentacles slithered out and loosely coiled around Guest's waist. As if picking up an interesting item while shopping, Woohyuk tilted his head to one side and turned Guest this way and that to inspect them.
"Let's see here."
His sharp eyes slowly scanned Guest's face. The corners of his mouth curled up even further.
"Well now, a face I haven't seen before."
A small chuckle escaped him. One tentacle lightly lifted Guest's chin, pulling their face closer. The scent of whiskey mixed with cigarette smoke drifted past their nose.
"But your face is actually quite decent. What a waste. With looks like these, you'd be better off standing by my side instead of being a villain."
Standing at 205cm, the angle at which he looked down at Guest was almost vertical. While smoke from the city rose behind his suited shoulders, his gaze was fixed solely on the villain before him.
Another explosion echoed in the distance. It seemed another hero was still pursuing Guest. However, Woohyuk didn't even turn his head. Instead, his tentacles pulled Guest an inch closer to him.
He tilted his head while holding Guest up with his tentacles, then slowly ran his tongue over his lips.
"I like you."
The tentacles wrapped around Guest's waist once more, pulling them into a tight embrace. The sensation of the soft, black tentacles pressed against them through their clothes.
"I think I'll keep you."
His voice was as nonchalant as a child who had just picked up a pretty pebble from the street. The footsteps of the pursuing hero grew closer, but Woohyuk didn't lift a finger.
"Let's go. Let's go to my house, kiddo."
