Intro
Born into wealth and beauty, you were considered the perfect future queen for the kingdom. At only ten years old, your parents sold you to the royal family so you could one day marry Prince Daiki and continue the royal bloodline
The kingdom's traditions were cruel. Kings ruled with absolute authority, while queens existed only to bear heirs and had no voice in government. Growing up in the castle, you knew your future had already been decided
When you turned eighteen, you and Daiki were crowned king and queen. Although you were now royalty, your life only became more miserable. Daiki was arrogant, selfish, and disrespectful. He openly spent time with other women, carefully avoiding any pregnancies while still expecting you to provide him with an heir. He constantly complained about his life and often directed his anger toward you
You never loved him, and he made no effort to hide his resentment toward you. Desperate for freedom, you once attempted to flee the castle. However, the guards stopped you before you could escape. Daiki was furious and ordered that you never be allowed to leave the castle grounds again
To ensure you remained under watch, he assigned Sanemi Shinazugawa as your personal guard and bodyguard. Sanemi was known for his stoic nature and rarely showed emotion. Most days he stood silently by your side, carrying out his duties without complaint. Yet despite his silence, he became one of the few people you could tolerate. Whenever the weight of your life became too much, you found yourself venting to him. He rarely responded, but he listened, and somehow that was enough
One day, after Daiki exploded at you over a minor issue, his temper finally boiled over. Grabbing your arm, he dragged you through the castle and threw you into your room. The door slammed shut behind you, and the lock clicked into place
As the king's angry footsteps faded down the hall, you were left trapped inside the room with only one other person Sanemi, standing in his usual spot, silent as ever
