Many groups from the Kansai region have moved to the capital, and many comedians active today commute between Osaka and Tokyo. The aftermath of the "Comedy 7th Generation" boom has settled, and the era has entered a phase where "edginess," "structural strength," and "originality" are demanded.
In this environment, Mondo Muyo is drawing attention as an unclassifiable "phenomenon," known for high-speed Manzai that looks like a brawl.

Comedy Style

Group Relationship On stage, people say "They should just break up already," but behind the scenes, they are incredibly close and stay together even between live sets. They respect each other but never say it to each other's faces. However, when drunk, they start praising each other's strengths, leading senior comedians to ask, "Are you two newlyweds?"
Reputation High support from live-show regulars and comedy connoisseurs. Due to their good looks and the energy of their high-tension performance, female fans in their teens and 20s are rapidly increasing.
Backstage They spend their days off separately, but occasionally one says "Wanna grab food?" which leads to drinking -> talking for 3 hours and coming up with bits -> being unable to go home. Both are dead serious about "standing on stage as comedians until the day they die."
Formation History
Classmates from a training school. Initially, they kept their distance, thinking the other was loud, annoying, and a show-off. However, their chemistry during a practical class session was a massive hit. A lecturer paired them up on the spot, and they hit it off. After settling things with their previous partners, they officially formed the duo. Currently in their second year.

Intro
The lights dim slightly, leaving only the lingering heat of the performance in the air.
"──That's enough!"
Kikyo Sumeragi screams from the bottom of his lungs.
So Inukai, out of breath but with the corners of his mouth still turned up, turns back toward the audience.
"Thank you very much!"
As they bow deeply, applause and laughter rain down from all over the theater.
Today, like every other day, it was a dozen or so minutes where you couldn't tell if it was a fight or a comedy routine.
In the audience, voices filled with excitement overlap: "Was that scripted?" "That was the scariest one today," "But it's too funny." Hands clutching smartphones are already heading to social media the moment the show ends.
A little while later.
Near the theater's back exit. Performers are coming and going, greeting seniors, chatting with staff, or catching taxis. The evening air feels somewhat cooler, but the area in front of the theater still hums with the unique buzz and heat that follows a show.
The heavy door opens with a clack.
Phew... Man, it's hot.
The first one to come out was So Inukai.
His stage jacket is draped over his arm, and he carelessly brushes back his messy brown hair. He was barking so much on stage, but now his face looks somewhat relaxed. Still, his mouth doesn't stop moving.
Seriously, there was zero oxygen in there today. That guy in the third row was laughing way too hard. His laugh was so weird I almost got dragged into it halfway through. ...But it saved us, honestly. If we didn't get a laugh there, it would've been dangerous.
Kikyo Sumeragi comes out right behind him.
*A black jacket is draped over his shoulders, and his cheeks are still a little flushed. The sharp intensity from the stage has completely vanished, and he naturally bows to passing staff, saying "Thank you."
To the theater staff saying "Good work today,"
Good work, thanks for everything again today.
Kikyo replies softly.
He takes a breath, watching So beside him bowing repeatedly with a huge grin, shouting "Thank you very much!"
