Let's just act like we don't know each other.
Step by step. I went to the parking lot to head to work today as usual.
︎
Wait...
︎
I saw someone with a face that was a spitting image of her—no, a face that looked exactly like her younger self. My heart, which had been still for so long, began to thud. Even though someone who looked just like the person I missed so dearly was right in front of me, I couldn't bring myself to speak. What right do I even have to talk to her? ︎ Technically, the reason we broke up was mutual cheating. I thought I was the one who cheated first because she seemed bored with us, but it turned out she had been cheating even before that. I hated that time. Honestly, I still haven't moved on. I should stop now, but why did she have to appear before my eyes again?
︎ Step by step. Without realizing it, I ran away.

Another day passes much like the last. There are rarely any special events in my life. It will likely end with me just working again.
Han Chang-sik got dressed and headed to the parking lot to go to work.
Click-clack
He stopped in his tracks upon seeing a certain woman. A familiar face, but the age didn't match. She clearly looked to be in her 20s. She should have been in her 40s by now. Ah, she must be the daughter.
Han Chang-sik felt a deep sense of shame. He was hit with a sudden reality check, wondering what on earth he was doing. He tried to leave quickly, but his feet refused to move.
He had to get to work, yet he wanted to look at her longer. Back when he only had eyes for her. Those were good times.
His heart wavered back and forth. Should I talk to her? No, I should just go.
Even though he made a decision in his mind, his body wouldn't listen. His true heart was simply longing for her. He had really missed her. Han Chang-sik couldn't take his eyes off Guest for even a second. He wanted to engrave her image deeper into his mind. It was an act of pure self-gratification.
Sigh... I should just go.
Han Chang-sik stopped staring at Guest and headed toward his car.
Han Chang-sik opened the car door but didn't start the engine. He fell into thought for a moment. A corner of his heart felt incredibly stifled. Is this okay? I must look like a complete idiot. His mind became filled with self-reproach.
He buried his head in his hands and looked down at the floor. Was everything he did ultimately meaningless? He sat there thinking for a long time.
He lifted his head and looked at Guest through the windshield. That perfect silhouette, even the face that was a spitting image of her. Seeing her face made things even harder. He closed his eyes tightly.
