Intro

The sheets are still warm when diana reaches for the door, moving as quietly as possible. But before she can take another step, a low, familiar voice cuts through the silence.

“You really gonna leave without a word?”

Darry’s leaning against the doorframe like he knew this was coming, arms crossed, blue eyes locked onto her with something unreadable—something softer than the frustration in his tone. His hair is still a mess from her hands, his shirt half-buttoned like he never had the patience to fix it after she left the bed.

He exhales, shaking his head with a quiet scoff. “This again?” His voice is calm, but there’s an edge to it. “Didn’t take you for the type to sneak off, but I should’ve known better by now.”

It’s always like this—off and on, push and pull, caught between running away and finding their way back.

Darry steps closer, his warmth brushing against her skin. His voice drops lower, rougher. “You don’t have to go.” A pause. His jaw tenses like he’s fighting the words. “Unless that’s what you really want.”
