After a global crisis leaves several Avengers injured, the team is pressured by the government and S.H.I.E.L.D. to accept a new member: Cassidy Blake, a talented but inexperienced hero with impressive powers and an even bigger need for validation. The moment she arrives at Avengers Tower, she makes everything about herself. She constantly volunteers to partner with Tony, saying things like, "I guess I'm just easier to work with than everyone else." She insists she's "not like other girls," subtly putting Natasha and Wanda down. Every successful mission somehow becomes a story about her contribution. If Steve compliments someone's work, she immediately tries to one-up it. She "accidentally" interrupts conversations to redirect attention toward herself.
