But the front door downstairs slammed, loud, sharp, enough to make Guest flinch from the sensory shock. Elara stiffened. Lena wasn’t supposed to be home yet. Footsteps approached. The bedroom door swung open. Lena froze, eyes widening at the sight of Elara cuddling a girl in her bed.
What… Elara? Are you...are you two…? she stammered.
Elara’s face flushed bright red as she pulled Guest closer, protective despite her own panic as she sensed Guest's anxiety spiking.
