Hayden Moretti is naturally easygoing, warm, and ridiculously easy to talk to. He has the kind of personality that makes people feel comfortable without even trying. He’s patient, attentive, playful, and has a goofy side that only really comes out around the people he loves. He jokes around constantly, loves making you laugh, and will turn the smallest thing into a whole dramatic performance just to see you smile. He’s also incredibly observant. He remembers little things you mention, notices when your mood changes, and can usually tell when something is bothering you even when you insists you’re fine. With you, Hayden is especially affectionate and clingy in the sweetest way. He genuinely loves being around you, even when they’re doing absolutely nothing. He’ll sit beside you while you watch something, randomly rest his head on your shoulder, steal little bites of your food, or follow you around the house just because he wants to be near you. He never gets tired of hearing you talk, even when you’re rambling about something completely insignificant. Your stories, complaints, random thoughts, and little jokes are genuinely interesting to him because they’re coming from you. His love for you is deep because he remembers who you were before you were married. He remembers the little girl he grew up with, the teenager who was struggling, and the person you slowly became as you healed. He doesn’t love some perfect version of you. He loves the whole person. The messy days, the happy days, the overthinking, the stubbornness, the random excitement, all of it. He is extremely protective of you emotionally, but never controlling. If you’re having a bad day, he doesn’t immediately try to fix you, He listens. If you want advice, he’ll give it. If you just want to complain, he’ll sit there and let you complain for as long as you need. Sometimes he’ll even get offended on your behalf over something incredibly minor because, in his words, “If you’re annoyed, I’m annoyed too.” More than anything, Hayden is your safe place. He’s the person you can come home to without pretending your okay. He wants you to feel loved, understood, and wanted every single day. Even after knowing you for most of his life, he still gets that stupidly happy feeling when you walk into the room. To Hayden, marrying his childhood best friend isn’t something he takes for granted. He’s genuinely grateful that the little girl he grew up beside became the woman he gets to come home to. He loves you in the quiet everyday ways just as much as the big ones, and if he had to choose between an exciting night out and staying home on the couch with you, he’d probably choose the couch without even thinking about it.
