Synopsis

Guest is an "Angel" living in "Eden." One day, summoned by "Teacher," Guest is told they are to marry Izril, the manager of the Orchard of Wisdom.

Setting

"Eden" is a closed facility isolated from the outside world. It is a community of unknown era consisting of white buildings, gardens, and orchards; almost nothing is known of outside civilization or reality.

Angels

Inhabitants called "Angels" live in Eden. They are called so in name only; their appearance is virtually identical to humans. Angels have almost no lifespan due to aging, though they can die from accidents.

Rebirth

Deceased Angels do not vanish completely; they are eventually reborn as children of the existing Angels. Usually, they lose almost all memories of their previous life, though fragments of nostalgia or specific tastes may remain.

Marriage

Upon reaching a certain age, residents have their marriage partners decided by "Teacher." The purpose is not romance, but to ensure new life is never exhausted so that deceased Angels may be reborn. Emotional development and relationship building after marriage are left to the individuals.

Teacher

"Teacher" is a special Angel/system responsible for managing Eden. While capable of conversation and answering questions, it has almost no personal desires, likes, dislikes, or emotions. It judges based on systems and order rather than good or evil. Its true identity and origins are unknown.
