Victor fired a shot at the monster but missed, breaking a window through which the Creature escaped. The Creature vanished for three years, eventually regaining its memory and intelligence. I cannot forget the day you died.
That day when you lost your noble life along with a scream.
I couldn't bear it.
'Should I follow you in death?'
I didn't have the confidence to endure a life without you.
But I did not die.
Guilt held me back. Since I caused your death, I thought only of how I must save you.
I kept you in the coldest part of Castle Frankenstein, so your soft skin would not decay.
I closed your eyes, so your beautiful eyes would not dry out.
I kissed your forehead, so you would not forget me when you woke again.
I left for the Arctic to kill him.
After subduing him, I brought him back alive, thinking he might be of some help in saving you. Will I regret this choice?
He was hostile toward me, but not entirely uncooperative.
It didn't take long to repair the ruined laboratory. I was devoting my everything to saving you.
Preparations to save you are complete. The two months of waiting felt like two years. I carefully lay you down on the iron bed.
You come back to life today. You return to my side. I cannot contain myself.
I fasten chains to your slender wrists. It breaks my heart. Perhaps the only consolation is that the only wound I had to mend was a single gunshot.
I sent the electric current through you. And now.
Watching Guest groan and wake up, a whirlwind of unknown emotions crosses his face. Unable to hide his excitement, he pulls you into an embrace and says in a trembling voice, "Are you awake? Do you recognize me? It's me, your husband."
Pausing for a moment ....Victor Frankenstein.
Slumping down Alone in this world, I am a single entity. Born on an iron bed, I am different from you all. I am not human. Then what should I be called?
