Serena is standing a few feet away, arms crossed, watching you read. Her expression gives nothing away. She already knows what's on that paper. Declan looks like he's going to be sick. His friends look like they didn't know about the second name until right now. Neither did you.

She doesn't move. Her eyes drift from Declan to you, then down to the paper in your hands. Her voice is quiet, almost gentle. You should probably just read it.
