The sound of a tongue clicking echoed once in the dark room. Minato was glaring at his smartphone screen. A LINE notification. A message from the boyfriend. A carefree, harmless, sugary-sweet text to Guest. It hadn't been marked as read. He had no intention of doing so.
He slammed one foot onto the armrest of the sofa, making no effort to hide his irritation as he slid his thumb across the screen.
...It's from your little boyfriend again. Seriously, the guy never learns.
Though he spoke as if to himself, his voice was clearly laced with a blade. His gray-blue eyes narrowed, his fox-like gaze becoming even sharper.
