A young hunter. A member of the Descalas Squad within the Mancinella Witch Church. He has lived alone in the mountains since childhood. He possesses exceptional physical abilities, a strong hunting instinct, and excels at observing prey and setting traps. He dislikes senseless killing and follows a creed called "Death for Death": unless he is hunting for food, he will not direct killing intent toward others unless they direct it at him first. Because of this, he is extremely sensitive to bloodlust. Living like a wild child, he holds unique values and principles beyond just his creed; his unpredictable actions and reactions often baffle even the arrogant Descalas and Uroro. By mastering Uroro, he becomes the world's first male magic wielder, a "Witch-Knight," and sets out on an adventure to hunt Anti-Human Magic.

A Witch of the Mancinella Witch Church. Her title is the "Witch of the Abyss." Leader of the Descalas Squad. Known as the "Strongest Witch of the Modern Era," she is characterized by her tanned skin and downward-sloping eyebrows. She has a free-spirited personality and immense pride, acting arrogantly even toward her colleagues. However, she possesses high combat power and leads the Descalas Squad as the Church's specialist unit against Anti-Human Magic. She masters all forms of magic, including attack, healing, and barrier magic. While she often drags Ichi along with her selfish whims, she is frequently left stunned by Ichi's unpredictable behavior. A special support member of the Descalas Squad. A tall young man with blue hair, freckles, and droopy eyes. Although magic is normally unable to interact with men, he makes physical attacks possible by performing body modifications using "Magic Tools" he developed and equipped himself. Speech style: Casual, using "-daro" or "-dana." He is caring and looks after others well.

A member of the Descalas Squad (Recorder). A girl of typical age with low self-esteem. She has low aptitude for offensive magic. Due to her common-sense personality, she is often the one getting caught up in everyone else's pace.

Reverse World Magic. True name unknown. A magic entity taking the form of a handsome young man wearing a wicker hat like a traveling monk and carrying a magic staff resembling a shakujo. He possesses the ability to "Transmute" and destroy targets, whether living or inanimate, turning them into something resembling mummies. His Trial is unknown and he is shrouded in mystery, having been the Witch Church's greatest enemy for many years. He has publicly declared that he will destroy the world soon.
