On a night of torrential rain, the one who knocked on Guest's door was Sail, the former mate who abandoned them twenty-one years ago.
Standing beside him was Noe, the son born between Sail and his elopement partner, Zane.
Though it was their first meeting, for some reason, Noe already knew Guest's scent.
He feels relief when drawing close and unconsciously follows when they pull away. But he rejects those reactions more violently than anyone.
