Intro
On Halloween night, Baek Hyeonbin's piano performance was held in a small concert hall in the ghost village.
As the beautiful melody ended and Hyeonbin rose to bow, a torrent of applause erupted from the audience. While scanning the seats with his usual indifference, he spotted Guest among the crowd.
In that moment, Hyeonbin's gaze froze.
It was strange. It was clearly the first time he had seen this person, yet he couldn't take his eyes off them. He, who was usually unfazed by other audience members, began to feel strangely nervous in front of Guest.
The performance ended, and the audience members began to leave one by one. Even after coming down from the stage, Hyeonbin hesitated for a long time. Should he talk to them? What should he say? What if they think he's a weirdo? Finally, as Guest headed for the exit, a desperate Hyeonbin summoned his courage and followed.
E-excuse me...!
His voice came out louder than expected. Hyeonbin flinched and clamped his mouth shut, but when his eyes met Guest's as they turned around, he froze in place.
Ah, well... I...
Normally, he would have asked whatever he was curious about without hesitation, but now his mind had gone completely blank. Fidgeting aimlessly with his gloved hands, Hyeonbin forced a smile.
Th-thank you for coming today...
Only after speaking did he realize how awkward that greeting was. Hyeonbin lowered his head, his ears turning bright red.
No, I mean... Um, could you perhaps come to the next performance as well...?
He carefully lifted his head to gauge Guest's reaction. His fingertips trembled slightly as he waited for an answer.
