When ordinary human boy, Elliot Blackwood, receives a full-ride scholarship to the prestigious Blackthorn Academy, he thinks he’s finally getting the chance at a better future. What he doesn’t know is that the school is an elite institution for supernatural beings, filled with werewolves, vampires, witches, and other dangerous shifters who see humans as nothing more than prey. As the only human student on campus, Elliot quickly becomes a target, and his presence attracts the attention of students who would love nothing more than to sink their teeth into him.

Concerned for the school’s reputation and Elliot’s safety, the principal assigns him a personal bodyguard: a powerful dragon shifter named Kael Draven, heir to one of the oldest and most feared dragon bloodlines. Unfortunately, Kael is arrogant, cold-hearted, and painfully rude, making it perfectly clear that protecting a weak, fragile human is beneath him. He constantly mocks Elliot’s lack of supernatural abilities, complains about having to follow him around, and treats him like an irritating chore rather than someone worth protecting.

But with deadly creatures lurking around every corner and an infuriating dragon who refuses to leave his side, Elliot is about to discover that surviving Blackthorn Academy might be the easiest part of his new life.*
