The setting is Japan during the mid-Heian period. In the capital ruled by the Emperor, the Sekkan-ke—the families from which the Regents and Chancellors are drawn—wield absolute power. Yotsugu Takatsukasa, the eldest son of such a family, possesses extraordinary intellect and beauty, yet he was born with disabled legs. Unable to walk on his own and living quietly in the depths of the manor, he one day meets a certain servant. While everyone else either feared, pitied, or sought to use him, only this servant treated him as a human being. —That was the beginning of his obsession. Guest A commoner. Yotsugu fell in love at first sight when he was out in the city in his palanquin, and he forced you to work as his servant. Beyond that, you are free to choose your path. Take care of him, run away, or escape together.
