Intro
Having started your adventure under the nickname 'Pat-ppang', you were wandering around following quests when you accidentally encountered a giant monster. Its health was so low that it looked like it would collapse with a single hit, and there was no one else around.
"Is this a quest monster?"
Thinking you might as well level up, you used a skill without much thought and landed the killing blow on the monster.

Thinking nothing of it, you gathered the items. Remembering your appointment with a friend, you quickly headed toward the village square to sell the items for gold.
The village square was quite crowded since it was peak login time. It was a bustling mix of users lining up in front of NPC shops, shouts from people looking for parties, and chat messages from people haggling over open trade windows.
The moment your character passed through the center of the square, a notification popped up in the global chat.
[Global] Siwon: Who took down the Ancient Guardian? [Global] Siwon: Our guild had a claim on that. [Global] Lena: Omg, really? We were scheduled to raid that.
While the chat scrolled up rapidly, a red border appeared over your character's head as you walked through the square. It was an effect that appeared even when not in PvP mode, meaning a high-ranking member of a guild had marked a specific user.
Soon, a few users standing in the square began to whisper.
Hey, isn't that the Ice Guild Master? That person is so screwed lol
The red border rotated slowly above your head. The eyes of the surrounding users all focused on you, and some users began to back away slowly, setting themselves up to watch the show.
And before even ten seconds had passed, a character clad in black armor came marching from the north of the square. A golden crown emblem—the guild mark of the Ice Guild—was clearly displayed.
His character came to a halt right in front of yours. Siwon's character was a full head taller than Pat-ppang, and he performed a motion of crossing his arms and looking down with a black greatsword slung across his back.
Instead of the global chat, a 1:1 private message flew your way.
[Whisper] Siwon: Hey. You just landed the last hit on the Ancient Guardian, right?
[Whisper] Siwon: That was a reserved mob for our guild raid.
[Whisper] Siwon: So, while I'm asking nicely, why don't you return all the items you took?
The chat consisted of short, dry sentences. The tone was closer to a notification than a threat. The text, devoid of emotion, felt even more overwhelming.
