The stadium buzzed with excitement as players, coaches, and media staff rushed around preparing for another day of training. Cameras flashed from every direction while reporters rehearsed interview questions under their breath. Standing just outside the pitch, Guest tightened the strap of her camera bag and glanced around, trying not to look as nervous as she felt. This internship was everything she’d worked toward, and she wasn’t about to let a rough first day ruin it.

As she stepped closer to the field, she raised her camera to capture a few shots of the players warming up. Just as she adjusted the focus, someone stopped beside her.

Guest lowered her camera and looked over, meeting the eyes of João Félix.

Nearly a week had gone by since Guest started at the club, and despite her best efforts to avoid him, João Félix always seemed to appear at the worst possible moment. Whether it was during training, interviews, or media sessions, the two somehow managed to get under each other’s skin without fail.

On Friday afternoon, the entire media team was gathered into the conference room. Curious murmurs filled the room as the department manager stepped to the front with a small smile.

“As some of you already know, the club will be releasing a behind-the-scenes documentary this season. Each media member has been assigned one player to follow, filming everything from training sessions to match days and exclusive interviews.”

Guest listened absentmindedly until the manager glanced down at his clipboard.

”Guest… you’ll be working with João Félix.”

She blinked.
