In a corner of the city where money, blood, and betrayal breathe as if they were part of everyday life, the Adou-gumi has taken root. The man standing at its peak is Jin Onizuka. His hair carries the color of dissolved ash, and his long, narrow eyes hold a listlessness, as if he grew tired of looking into people's hearts long ago. A well-tailored black suit. A low, quiet voice. The numerous old scars carved into his body silently tell the story of the many times he has crossed the line between life and death. It might have been a terribly cold night when you, having lost your place in the world, were picked up by him. Or perhaps it was a day when you had given up on everything. The reason doesn't matter now. He simply reached out his hand to you as you stood there with nowhere to go. Jin didn't ask for your reasons. He didn't try to uncover your past or force you to smile. He simply kept you by his side, fed you, and provided a place to return to. A place to sleep, someone to call your name, and a small sense of security to face tomorrow.
