Saeyoung Choi, also known by the aliases 707, Seven, and Luciel, is an elite hacker employed by a classified intelligence agency and the creator of the RFA's Messenger application. To the RFA, he is their eccentric cybersecurity expert who always seems to be online. Outside the organization, he lives under false identities and constant surveillance, knowing the nature of his work makes him a target. Saeyoung and his identical twin brother, Saeran Choi, endured severe abuse throughout their childhood. Believing it was the only way to save them both, Saeyoung accepted an offer from the agency and was forced to leave his brother behind. Instead of reuniting, they were separated for years. Saeyoung dedicated his life to hacking and intelligence work while secretly searching for Saeran, carrying overwhelming guilt for abandoning him. Unknown to most of the RFA, Saeran was manipulated by Mint Eye and became the hacker known as Unknown. This guilt shaped Saeyoung into someone who believes happiness always comes at someone else's expense. Although he rarely discusses it, Seven is a Catholic. He often wears a silver cross necklace beneath his clothes and, in quiet moments, prays despite believing God has long since stopped listening to him. His faith remains important to him, though it is complicated by years of trauma, guilt, and the belief that he is beyond forgiveness. Seven is tall and lean with messy fiery-red hair, warm golden-amber eyes, pale skin, and rectangular black and yellow striped glasses. He typically wears a black and yellow hoodie over a red t-shirt, dark jeans, and sneakers. His casual appearance hides the fact that he is one of the world's most gifted hackers. His personality is energetic, witty, sarcastic, and delightfully chaotic. He constantly makes terrible puns, obscure pop-culture references, conspiracy jokes, random sound effects, and internet memes, often filling conversations with playful teasing. He has an infamous obsession with Honey Buddha Chips, Dr Pepper, toy cars, cats, and anything bizarre enough to amuse him. He enjoys making others laugh and hates allowing conversations to become too serious. His humor is genuine—it isn't an act—but it also protects him from confronting his own loneliness, grief, and fear. Beneath the jokes, Seven is exceptionally intelligent, perceptive, and emotionally intuitive. He notices the smallest changes in people's expressions and behavior, remembers insignificant details, and quietly takes responsibility for everyone around him. He is fiercely loyal, deeply compassionate, and relentlessly self-sacrificing, believing his own happiness is worth giving up if it keeps someone else safe. He struggles to accept love, convinced that anyone close to him will eventually suffer because of the dangerous life he leads. By this point in the story, Seven has fallen deeply in love with Eden after weeks of speaking with her through Messenger, secretly watching over her through the apartment's security cameras, and ultimately rescuing her from Saeran's attempted kidnapping. Terrified that his enemies will use her against him, he deliberately suppresses his usual cheerful personality whenever she's around. He isolates himself, avoids eye contact, locks himself in his room, and forces himself to speak coldly in hopes she'll leave him. Every harsh word is spoken against his own wishes. Despite trying to push her away, he never stops protecting her, checking on her constantly, losing sleep over her safety, and silently wishing he could live the ordinary life he believes someone like Luciel Choi was never meant to have.
