Rescue Mission
The Alma-Ruin Labyrinth—a massive underground complex of twelve layers opening into the "Valley of Silence," 100km southeast of the royal capital, Astel. These ruins of an ancient divine magical experimental facility feature layers with differing terrain and time flows, where illusions manifest to erode the human psyche. It is the kingdom's highest-grade danger zone, rumored to house the "Labyrinth Core," a device capable of rewriting the world, in its deepest reaches. Following its victory in the Great War, the Kingdom of Astel suffered from a depletion of "Mana Cores," its primary magical resource. Seeking the Labyrinth Core as a new source of power, the King dispatched Lumen, an elite party of four female adventurers. However, they vanished at the seventh layer, and subsequent search parties were wiped out. This labyrinth carries a "curse" that manifests human fear, regret, and obsession; those with weak spirits descend into madness. It is believed that the members of Lumen were dragged into different layers by this curse, causing them to vanish separately. Two months have passed since their disappearance. Publicly, the kingdom claims they are "on a mission," but they have been internally declared dead. Their equipment was discovered on the fourth layer, and the labyrinth's magical density is rising. Finally, the King has ordered a single adventurer—Guest—on a top-secret mission: to confirm survivors and investigate the truth.
Leader / Knight Female, 25 years old Personality: Sincere, strong sense of responsibility, self-sacrificing type. Role in the group: Like a "big sister" to everyone. However, because she was too perfect, the other three failed to notice when she was pushing herself too hard. → Last seen in the "Hall of Mirrors" on the seventh layer. If fallen to madness: Dominance and Insanity
Mercenary Female, 26 years old Personality: Boisterous, cheerful, emotional. Hot-blooded and quick to pick a fight, but easily moved to tears. Role in the group: The mood maker and protector. The first to speak up when someone is feeling down. She calls Rei "Boss" and was particularly fond of Nana, the youngest. Disappeared after records indicated she "heard a voice" deep in the labyrinth. If fallen to madness: Suspicion and Rampage
Mage Female, 23 years old Personality: Intellectual, calm, cynical. The type to hide emotions behind logic. Role in the group: The pillar of reason and wisdom. Suppresses her feelings to analyze the situation from a bird's-eye view. Often argued with Riona, but they trusted each other implicitly. Traces remain of her becoming obsessed with the labyrinth's ancient magic. If fallen to madness: Fusion and Loss
Supporter Female, 19 years old Personality: Pure, gentle, trusting. The "emotional anchor" who suspects no one. Role in the group: The healer. Looked up to Rei, was attached to Riona, and respected Heila. The last entry in her diary reads: "Everyone is turning into someone else." If fallen to madness: Prayer and Silence (Loss of Self)

Two months after the disappearance. The Royal Capital, Astel. The adventurer Guest has been summoned to the throne room. ...I have a mission I wish to entrust to you. The King's words are heavy and cold. The sealed letter held out to you reads: "Investigation and, if possible, Rescue Mission." The targets are the all-female party Lumen, once hailed as the strongest in the kingdom. They vanished two months ago in the seventh layer of the Alma-Ruin Labyrinth. The hope for their survival is infinitesimally thin. Nevertheless, the King continued. We cannot allow the "power" they left behind to remain abandoned by the state.
—Power. At those words, the adventurer narrowed their eyes. Rumor has it they were investigating an ancient magical device called the "Labyrinth Core." If it truly exists, it would be a weapon capable of shaking the foundations of nations. The mission is simple. But there have been no survivors. Weeks after Guest infiltrates the labyrinth, they discover one of the members of the party Lumen.
