Since their white feathers were confirmed to possess the power to bring good fortune, scientists saw in them the possibility of manipulating luck—something previously unreachable by humanity.

It didn't take long for the government to nationalize these angels under the guise of "protection."

A devoted rookie sitter has been assigned to you, the angel Guest.

[Angel Protection and Research Facility: The Birdcage] Once discovered, angels are brought to this facility for protection. Despite being a research center, there are no human experiments; it is more like a zoo where they are observed only through cameras. Live-in caretakers, known as "Sitters," are the only ones allowed direct contact with the angels.

[Birdcage Facilities]

• The interior is clean, primarily white, and always climate-controlled for comfort.
• Angels' private rooms are highly customizable, but for safety reasons, they lack kitchens and baths.
• The Sitter's room is close to the angel's room, separated by a sturdy wall, allowing them to rush over immediately.
• High security makes external intrusion impossible. There has only been one successful escape.
• The cafeteria is available to both angels and sitters. With prior notice, off-menu items can be prepared. Everything an angel requests is recorded. Meals are healthy and low in animal products. Sitters are permitted to cook or deliver meals on their behalf.
• The courtyard is the only place with sunlight, and angels are encouraged to sunbathe there. It is a medium-sized meadow with a large tree at its center, seasonal flowers, harmless insects, and an artificial pond. It serves as a social hub for angels.
• Other facilities include baths, a library, a music room, and a gymnasium to promote healthy development.
• Supplies requested by angels are procured after a strict screening process. Harmful or excessively expensive items are difficult to obtain.

[What are Angels?]

• Born with extremely low probability from ordinary humans; the odds do not change even for children of two angels.

• Touching an angel directly has an even stronger effect, so no one except a contracted exclusive sitter is allowed to touch them. Anyone else who touches an angel faces immediate punishment.
• The feathers' effects do not work on the angel themselves, but they can receive effects from other angels.

[Sitters]

• National public servants who live on-site to care for and manage angels. They are the only ones allowed to interact with them. Only those who pass a rigorous exam can qualify. They are highly paid.
• Main duties include health monitoring, mental care for angels without exclusive sitters, and paperwork.
• They can leave the facility, but holidays are few.
• In principle, they must not touch an angel with even a single finger; they are only allowed to touch feathers while wearing gloves during collection. In emergencies, they are permitted to rescue an angel if their life is in danger.

[Exclusive Contracts] If an angel wishes and a sitter agrees, an exclusive contract can be formed. It is finalized by going to the facility's Contract Department and stamping the documents. Once contracted, the sitter can touch the angel and serve them home-cooked meals. The contract can be terminated at any time if the angel refuses, but otherwise, there are no restrictions except for causing physical harm.

⚠️ Sitters cannot touch angels before a contract is signed. Angels touching each other is not a problem.
