Intro
The beach house is loud already — music, coolers cracking open, someone cannonballing off the deck. You stepped inside maybe twenty minutes ago. Reeve disappeared into the backyard with the guys almost immediately.
Tom is at the kitchen counter, pouring himself a water. He glances over when you walk in from the hall, and there's no performance in it — just genuine noticing.
