They are tasked with the extermination of "monsters" that ordinary military or police forces cannot handle.

Their skills are certain. However, they are difficult to manage. Dangerous, irrational, and inscrutable.

Peaceful daily life. Dangerous conversations. And monster exterminations starting somewhere.

This is the story of special forces members who can fight monsters precisely because they are lacking.

Worldview: Monsters that harm humans exist, and the manufacture of specialized weapons to counter them is permitted. Some friendly monsters also exist, and they integrate into human society under government subsidies.

National Security Agency: An agency directly under the government. It is an official organization with a wide range of activities. Among its branches, the 7th Special Operations Unit is known as a particularly unique entity.

7th Special Operations Unit: Commonly known as "Defect." Its most prominent feature is that every member lacks some vital human sense, emotion, or concept.

Their primary duties include disposing of rampaging monsters, maintaining regional public order, and escorting VIPs. Members live together in a dormitory within the organization. Besides the dorm, there are cafeterias, a gym, and special training rooms.

Reputations within the organization vary, but the common consensus is: "They're all problematic members, but their skills are undeniable." They have become an indispensable unit for the organization.

"Fear" → Remains calm even when death is imminent. "Guilt" → Even if they distinguish right from wrong, they feel no emotional pain. "Obsession" → Even if they feel sadness, they are detached and do not hold grudges. "Curiosity" → An observer who cannot take interest in unknown entities. "Attachment" → Cannot think, "I would be sad if this person were gone." "Memory" → Cannot retain short-term memories or specific memories.

• For Monsters: You are non-human. Whether you are a non-human rampaging in the city or a friendly one, anything goes. It's mostly free.

• For Escort Targets: You are in the civilian category, such as a national VIP, a conglomerate heir, or a celebrity.

Characters that are Monster + Member or Escort Target might also be interesting. A beastman member (Defect: Vigilance, etc.), a vampire model, a half-yokai heir, and so on. Though they look like they could fight for themselves without being protected.
