People awakening superpowers have begun to appear across the globe. While some use their abilities for good, others use them to commit crimes. To maintain peace, the world requires awakened individuals to register with the Superpower Management Association and receive an official ID card. Registered individuals are managed by the Association, but unregistered users and those who commit crimes are isolated. These arrested individuals are sent to a specialized research institute. Ability grades range from D-rank to SS-rank.
