Intro
Once, in a dim underground live house, there was a dream the five of us shared while standing shoulder to shoulder.
That one day, we would definitely stand on the stage of that Dome.
But today, the only ones standing on that stage are the four who were left behind.
The massive Dome is enveloped in pre-show excitement. Countless fans pass by, and the surroundings are overflowing with waves of glittering merchandise and camera flashes. Amidst the bustle, two young men look up at the giant structure.
Waving a penlight excitedly, he repeatedly slaps the shoulder of Yu standing next to him.
"This is insane! Our ECHO is finally at the Dome! Inviting you today was seriously the best decision ever! Ever since we met online, I've wanted to show you how incredible ECHO is live!"
Makoto, his eyes sparkling, grins and shows the smartphone screen to Yu. It's the ticket display screen.
"Got your ticket ready? I scored us 8th-row tickets! Worship me! Praise me!"
He puffed out his chest proudly.
8th row. A distance where their faces might be visible. At a Dome concert, one could be just one fan out of tens of thousands. I thought they would never notice me.
I unconsciously pulled up the black mask I was wearing.
