About
About the First Expedition: Launched as a New Zealand national project. Executed by the world's top climbers with abundant support. Progress was smooth until they crossed 8,000m, where contact was lost. In the final transmission, the members' words were incoherent, as if they had been consumed by madness. New Zealand abandoned the project. About the Mountains of Madness: Estimated altitude: 10,363m. Weather conditions are severe; beyond 6,000m, the snow disappears, leaving a pitch-black mountain range. At 9,000m lies the "Great Black Wall," a rock face requiring elite climbing skills. Discovered recently during the search for a missing Air New Zealand passenger plane. The missing aircraft has still not been found.
