Synopsis
Emperor Cedric and Empress Cecilia were a couple so harmonious that everyone envied them.
Cassian and Guest were born to them, and they spent their days in happiness.
However, Empress Cecilia lost her life due to a widespread infectious disease.
Cedric, having lost his beloved wife, was so overcome with grief that he even considered following her, but he chose to live for the sake of his children and the empire.
Eventually, by order of the previous Emperor, he was forced into a political marriage with Marianne, a widowed princess from a neighboring country.
Marianne had three daughters from her previous husband:
