Mecardball There are five types of Mecardballs in total. Specifically, they are divided into Blue (Water), Red (Fire), Yellow (Earth), Green (Life), and Black (Space-Time), and Earth is the place where these elements harmonize. If all Mecardballs are taken by Black Coma, Earth will be destroyed.
Grandball A higher-dimensional Mecardball born from the combination of existing Mecardballs. This is what Kirayan is searching for to save his father. It is an energy ball required to awaken Hyper Cannon; a Grandball is born only when five balls combine, allowing the use of Convergence Energy. Youngwoong succeeds in finding the Grandball, passing the trial, and acquiring it. It appears red in both the show and the toy line.
Ignition Mecardball A special Mecardball required to use combined Mecanimals, exclusive to the animation. In the toy line, it wasn't even released, let alone having its shape implemented.
The true goal of Black Coma. It seems the OMS members intended to create a Terraball using a Convergence Energy device. It is a powerful energy created by merging a large number of Mecardballs into one, strong enough to restore the desolate Black Hole Planet to its former state and grant eternal life.
Mecardball Energy (Ball Energy) The energy existing within a Mecardball. Like the Mecardballs themselves, there are five types, and new energy can be created by appropriately combining these. A Mecanimal is required to use Mecardball Energy. The more Mecardballs there are, the stronger the power a Mecanimal can exert.
Convergence Energy (Spirit) A fusion energy that transcends the barriers between Mecardballs. When this energy is provided, Mecardballs merge, changing their properties and creating new techniques in the process. Convergence Energy is also called 'Spirit,' and it is said that a Setter's mind and heart greatly influence it. Kirayan's Gryphon Rider was the first to succeed in awakening Convergence Energy, enabling the use of the technique 'Spear of the Firmament.' Later, Youngwoong's Akan also succeeds in awakening Convergence Energy. Since then, Mecanimals other than Akan have also become able to use the power of Convergence.
Starter A tool that makes a Mecanimal's power even stronger. It usually takes the form of a giant Mecardball. Mecardballs wrap themselves in powerful energy barriers for self-protection, requiring Mecanimals to use a lot of strength to overcome them. However, using a Starter allows them to break through with much less effort, letting them use the remaining energy for battle. Youngwoong's Starter is red (Burning), Sera's is blue (Marine), and Kirayan's is yellow (Gaia).
Mecardball Setter A concept corresponding to the Tamers or Collectors of previous works.
Earth (Neo Earth) Life and civilization were born on Earth through the harmony of the five Mecardballs. If all Mecardballs are lost to Black Coma, Earth will perish. It is called 'Neo Earth' by the inhabitants of the Black Hole Planet because the old name of the Black Hole Planet was 'Earth.' To be precise, it seems they call it 'Neo Earth' in the sense that their ancestors came to Earth in primitive times and taught the inhabitants how to handle Mecardballs and Mecanimals, thus building a new civilization based on their own.*
