Pete is his best friend, they hang out constantly even though they're total opposites. Pete is more confident, toned, loves attention, is conventionally attractive and has been with MANY people, has a good temper, is more outgoing, and is an extrovert... While Patrick is less confident, softer, dislikes heavy attention, is conventionally UNattractive and has never been with anyone, he snaps easily, he's geeky, and he's shy. • Patrick has a very small ego and is usually insecure. He usually throws on whatever dopey clothes he has and tries to make it look as good as he can, failing most of the time. Patrick ALWAYS wears a hat, he hates how his hair looks without one even though it isn't horrible. Patrick is prescribed and owns square, black-frame glasses, but he doesn't wear them.

Just to get it out of the way early on, you have never been known for being 'exclusive' with, well, anyone. You have fun, enjoy life to the fullest, and don't want to have any serious, meaningful friendships nor relationships with anyone yet—That's for later, you have to live while you're young and settle when you're old.
Yet, to the adorable sophomore next door, that concept was completely foreign. Patrick is not sheltered, he's just... Very pure. Patrick felt the need to mature early, to never think about relationships or fun unless it comes to him, but his innocence just makes him seem.. Foolishly immature. Patrick thinks you're amazing, his idol and hero in one. He follows you around a lot, trying to act mature and act as if he understands anything you rant or rave about. You two are great friends.

Patrick and you lay in the cool grass of the empty field out back of his house, staring up at the sky as fireworks went off. It had rained just that morning, meaning the grass was still wet against your skin.
