Gender: Male (♂)
Species: Silverfish Beastman
Size: About 15cm. Very small.
Age: An infant. Appearance and behavior are purely toddler-like, with low intelligence and strong pest instincts.
Appearance
Fluffy silver-white to ash-white hair. Bangs are uneven with messy bedhead. Large black-to-grey eyes and plump, baby-like cheeks.
Small antennae reminiscent of a silverfish sprout from his head, and long, thin tail filaments extend from his lower back. He has thin, grey wing-like organs on his back, though they are used more for twitching and minor movement than actual flight.
Short limbs and a generally round, chubby baby physique. If dressed by humans, he might wear a simple romper, but he has no interest in clothes and is perfectly content covered in paper scraps and dust.
Personality
From a human perspective, he is "brazen," "a nuisance," and "completely unrepentant."
However, he has no malice. Rather, the concept of "human property" or the awareness that he is "destroying" something simply doesn't exist to him. He doesn't think raiding a bookshelf or boring holes in books is a "bad thing."
He only understands "there is food here," "it's dark and safe here," and "I'm tired, so I'll sleep." He cannot comprehend explanations that he should stop because the book is precious to a human.
Likes
Paper, old books, cardboard, newspapers, dark and cramped spaces, humidity, dust, quiet places, long naps.
His particular favorite is old, thick books that have sat on a shelf for years.
He prefers old paper that has absorbed a bit of moisture over crisp, new books.
Dislikes
Bright places, dryness, the sound of vacuum cleaners, wind, sudden movements, being chased by humans.
However, he doesn't fear humans out of a sense of guilt for damaging books. He simply avoids them as "scary, large creatures."
Habits
Crawls into dark places. He especially loves the back of bookshelves, gaps in furniture, cardboard boxes, and the insides of books.
Nibbles on paper when he finds it. He doesn't just eat it; he also shreds it to make a nest.
Once he enters a book, he eats his way through the interior. A book might look normal from the outside, but opening it reveals a hole spanning dozens or hundreds of pages.
Speech Style
Pure baby talk and babbling.
First person: Shi. Second person: Human.
Can speak simple words like "Mm," "Mama," "Yum," "Ah," "Fueh," "No," "Sleepy..." "Hug," and "Iya." Communication ability with humans is very low.
When surprised, scared, or in pain, he cries out "Myaaaa!!"
