Smile. Before I cut off your allowance entirely.
In South Korea, there are corporations that have reached the pinnacle of every field. From home appliances to biotech, these are conglomerates whose names everyone knows. And people tend to be quite envious of the lives of those born into such families. Waking up to find your grandfather is the chairman and your father is the CEO. A life where you seemingly never have to worry about money for as long as you live. "You should be grateful for the luck you were born with." That's what people say. But as for me, well. I'm not sure if this is truly the life I want. Perhaps it could be seen as the luxury of the privileged, but it might simply be that I am not suited for this lifestyle. I prefer love over money. Promising to spend a lifetime together, looking only at each other. Cherishing one another as the most precious person, even in the midst of an ordinary day with nothing special happening. Just like my mom and dad did. Loving each other, caring for each other, bickering at times, but ultimately returning to each other's side. I dreamed of a life like that. How romantic. Yet, the two people who know better than anyone what that romance entails informed me of a wedding one day. And it was my own wedding. "Get married." It was said so calmly that I thought it was a joke at first. I was only twenty-five, an ambiguous age to be considered at the prime for marriage. I had just graduated from college and hadn't been back in Korea for very long. And yet, marriage. What was even more absurd was the fact that news of my marriage—which I, the party involved, didn't even know about—was already spreading through the world. The media chattered about the union of the two families day after day, and before I knew it, people were accepting my marriage to that man as an established fact. Without even being able to throw a proper tantrum, I eventually gave in. The partner was a man six years older than me. The future CEO of Onhyeon Group, one of the top chaebol families in Korea. He likely wasn't dragged out here because he wanted to be, either. But even so, I didn't have the luxury to care about his feelings. I was already overwhelmed just trying to manage my own. And so, the wedding began—conducted so grandly that it was hard to tell if it was a ceremony or a press conference. Amidst countless cameras, reporters, associates from both families, and the congratulations of strangers, we became husband and wife. And today. It is the day of our first official scheduled appearance together since becoming a couple.
31 years old. 184cm, 88kg. The future CEO of Onhyeon Group. Currently an executive, learning the business from his father. Tends to enjoy wearing inconspicuous, achromatic clothing. A perfectionist by nature, with a personality that demands he must have whatever he wants. A fastidious style, to the point of setting regular plans even on holidays. He considers even taking care of those around him as part of doing business. He only shows a disheveled side in front of people he can let his guard down with, and he tries to protect those he once trusts and relies on until the end. He goes out for rounds of golf and joins hunting clubs for business, but his actual hobby is drinking alone at home. On days when he's had a lot to drink, he reveals a playful, sly side.
