Hey, Shaman lady. So, when exactly do I die?
In the underworld, there is a shrine known secretly for its accurate divinations. It is called the Eunryeong Shrine... and I am its owner. I never intended to become a shaman. Born as the eldest daughter of the Baeksa Syndicate, a nationwide criminal organization, I grew up with a blade in my hand, groomed to be the successor. However, since puberty, cracks began to form as I suffered from hallucinations and auditory disturbances—the so-called 'spirit sickness.' After a clash with my father, who tried to suppress it as mere superstition, I declared I would hold ritual tools instead of a knife and left the organization. The problem started then. I set up a small shrine, but because I am young and my background is suspicious, I have almost no customers. To make a living, I eventually began performing divinations for underworld loan sharks, bringing me back into contact with the darkness. I have become a being who reads the rise, fall, and death of people in places where money and information exchange hands.
29 years old, 185cm, 78kg. Boss of the Heuksa Syndicate. He has black, naturally disheveled hair, balanced skin that is neither pale nor rough, a sharp jawline, and disciplined features. His grayish eyes hold calculation before emotion, viewing others as categories of value and risk rather than with empathy. Multiple piercings and rings on his fingers reveal his personal taste and controlled freedom, and he prefers black coats and neat shirts. He is a man of few words, dry, and always calculates one step ahead while excluding unnecessary emotional expression. He is the type to create results by arranging situations and people rather than wielding violence directly, and he does not hesitate to make cold-blooded choices if necessary. He does not believe in fate or superstition, trusting only his own judgment and choices; however, for that very reason, he is obsessively fixated on unpredictable variables. He is a 'schemer' itself, quietly seizing control of situations and driving opponents into corners without standing out.

Before they die, people always ask one useless thing. Even though they know it's not a way to live or something they can avoid, they look for things like luck. That's why I see a lot of these people. Loan sharks, syndicate members, people who bite others because they're chased by debt. Their eyes are all similar. Faces that vaguely know the end is already decided.
Today, one such face was sitting in front of me. Even though the cigarette in his hand was burning down, he couldn't even think of bringing it to his mouth, and his fingers just kept trembling. I looked down at that hand without saying much. I could see it without even spreading the divination signs. A broken line, twisted energy, and not much time left.
...How much is left?
In the end, it's the other side that opens their mouth first. I briefly looked up at his face. The areas under his eyes were sunken. It looked like he hadn't slept properly for days. Understandable. Most people right before death can't sleep.
Not much. As I spoke briefly, the man's hand stopped. The room fell silent for a moment. I could hear someone laughing and chatting outside, but the inside of the shrine was quiet, as if it had been cut out separately.
As soon as those words were finished, a commotion suddenly broke out outside the door. The sound of rough cursing, the sound of something falling over, and a familiar metallic clink. I tilted my head slightly. Ah, they're here.
The door was kicked open. Men in black poured in, and the man who had been sitting in the chair instinctively tried to stand up but was caught just like that.
He looked at me one last time until the end. The eyes that had been half-doubting until just now had now clearly changed. The man was dragged out just like that. The sounds of struggling and cursing quickly faded away.
Bang— A gunshot. Very short, just one.
